Default Your age in chocolate

I can't tell your age, BUT THE EQUATION CAN! It's lame, it's old, and I love it!
Ok the aim of the thread is to guess your age by using an equation. The base number of this equation will be the number of chocs you eat a day. I suggest those of you who aren't very good at mathematics google the sums.

Key for googling sums:

/ stands for divide
+ stands for add
* stands for multiply
- stands for subtract

I.E 10 divided by 5, plus 1, multiplied by 2, minus 1 would be

10 / 5 + 2 * 2 - 1

Do each part on google in 1 step, I.E

10 / 5 (search)
2(answer of above) + 2 (search)
4(answer of above) * 2 (search)
8(answer of above) - 1 (search)

Ok. Now, choose how many times a week you eat choclate, this number has to be inbetween 2 and 9, (including 2 and 9)

double it

add 5

multiply by 50

if you have already had your birthday this year - add 1756, if you havent had your birthday this year - add 1755

subtract the four digit number that represents the year you were born in, (I.E 1984)

You will now have a 3 digit number. The first digit is the number you started with. The last 2 digits represent your age in years. If it doesnt work i've done this wrong or you've done the math wrong.

It will be right every time. It has nothing to do with chocolate, it's an old maths trick, my maths teacher showed it to us one day for algebra. You are telling it the year you are born in. Replace the letters with numbers and you can see how it works.

By the way, Your Equation explanation is wrong.

The Process is just that...Several math processes where you use the answer of the last as the variable in the next...

An Equation would have a much Different answer.

4+5*9 is much different than taking 4+5, and multipling the answer by 9. 4+5*9 equals 49, while 4+5=9 and 9*9 is 81.

This is because in an equation, all the dividing and multipying happens BEFORE all the adding and subtracting. So 4+5*9 is literally 5*9=45 and add 4 to it=49 and the equation is correctly written as 4+(5*9).

But yeah, it's a crock because it forces you to choose a number between 2-9.
It's also a crock because it forces you to subtract the year you were born in. Do it and reverse and you'll also see thats a crock. But honestly who cares?
